Anna Avakyan told the online publication of Newslab about what is actually the life of an artist of the opera Theater, how they are taught roles and why they are compared with the nucleus meters. After all, you are not only an artist, but also the wife of an opera singer, as well as a mother. In the morning I like to sleep, especially if in the evening a performance.

On such days I can sleep until one in the afternoon. This is a kind of my superlace, because it is important for me to get enough sleep, to accumulate strength. In this regard, I was lucky, the husband of the lark, and for him it is not a problem to take the child to the garden. Do you have any restrictions on food? I do not eat spicy food, but this is not because of the voice.

In general, before singing, of course, it is undesirable to eat what irritates the mucous membrane, so that in the process it does not want to cough. Citrus fruits are also undesirable. But all this is very individual. In the process of rehearsals, it happens that I forget to eat. This is not very good, since the artist needs maximum energy. On the stage we have quite a lot of tasks - to sing text very often in our native language, play a role, interact with the orchestra and partners, sometimes dance, run up the stairs and so on.

Imagine what a concentration! And we also sing without a call! In order to get a loud sound that can voice the whole hall, fly through the orchestra, we use the whole body. Our activity can be compared with athletes, nucleus throwers, for example. Often after rehearsals and after the performances, the feeling that he had visited the gym. After training, I feel more cheerful, I can even immediately go to a rehearsal, I don’t even have to sang - everything is already heated.

But, again, all this is individual.

As for maintaining themselves in shape, I love when people are beautiful when they are comfortable on the stage, when they feel in the body in which they would like to be. The fact is that everything is visible on the stage. We are standing there, we can say how naked - all complexes, dissatisfaction with himself are visible and, conversely, when a person is sure of himself when he likes him, this is visible to the viewer.

I do not know people who can somehow hide it. On the stage we open the soul, and everything becomes clear. When we just arrived in Krasnoyarsk, we rented an apartment with a very ringing acoustics. They tried to somehow drown her out-they laid the carpets, hung blankets. Then the son was still very small, one of his first phrases was: “No need to sing! We have an electronic piano that we carry with us throughout the country.

If something needs to be taught, you can play in the headphones without interfering. But, I think, when the time comes to send a child to a music school, you will have to buy a real piano. Although I consider musical education to be basic as the study of the Russian language and mathematics, I am not going to insist if the child does not want to become a professional musician. When we come to work, we sing and then rehearse.

But you can’t sing for six hours without a break, the voice should rest. Therefore, we have a breakdown working day. This is a common practice, and such a schedule is used all over the world. Rehearsals before the performances come from eleven to two, and then another block from six to nine. Some lessons are sometimes held between them, but usually they give us rest. Now I am not busy in the staging process, so I only have lessons with the accompanist, where I learn new parties, as well as rehearsals to the current repertoire.

This season I hope to take part in the premiere shows, and there may also be debuts. That is, I will have the first performance, and in the repertoire of the theater these performances have already been. Lessons can be throughout the day. Moreover, classes are not only vocal, we are still taught to stage movement so that we can feel good on stage. And we were very lucky that the honored artist of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Anastasia Osokina is engaged in stage movement since last season.

The breakdown schedule is good because Krasnoyarsk is not so big, and during the break you can return home and relax or do household chores. In Moscow, I would not have such an opportunity. And it is important at the very beginning to understand whether the party is suitable for your type of voice and temperament. There are a lot of singers who, that's why they had a short career.

If there are controversial questions, a conductor or director may ask to prepare an aria or some difficult moment to decide whether this role will be about the artist. I have a good piano base, for which many thanks to my mother. This gives me the opportunity, in particular, to learn new material. I also listen to the notes, I look at which singers sing it, what type of Fach the Fach vote classification system is used by opera agencies in Europe and other countries to accurately determine the vocalist type - approx.

After that, you can delve into the preparation of the party. When you know in advance about the role, then you can not rush, thoroughly prepare. But it happens that after one premiere there is another one at once, and here it is already necessary to quickly and quickly learn.I have my own way: I carefully translate the text if the opera is not in Russian, I write it to leaves and I go everywhere with them and teach them.

Sometimes it looks strange. As if I'm a little out of myself! When the “Manon” was prepared, the performance was presented in Krasnoyarsk in the spring - approx. Constantly “hung up” the text, including at home. You walk around the house and mutter. The son even approached sometimes and asked: “Mommy, what is bad for you? Then in general you have to teach very quickly.

For this case, I also have a technique: I take the text and with the help of associations I remember it, and then imagine that I am already on stage, and in a state of stress I give out everything that I remember. And usually without sound, just with the help of imagination. Then the brain remembers the party very quickly. In your native language, if you make a mistake, write is gone.

Everyone will hear it, and you yourself will begin to embarrass. Very often in Russian operas, obsolete words are used. And it seems to have learned, and then you go out onto the stage and suddenly begin to think: oh, what kind of word is this! So, for me personally, the Russian opera is more complicated. By the way, it is with Russian music that I have a funny incident.

I needed to sing Tatyana in the opera Eugene Onegin - approx. When you go on stage even in normal condition, time stretches. And it happens, you sing only one phrase, but it seems that half an hour has passed. If something is wrong, it still slows down. And so, the performance began, I have no excitement, absolute control of my condition and complete disconnection from the image.

I stand and think: “Here the orchestra sits, as many as 80 people, the conductor waves something, people in the hall look at me. Some kind of nonsense! This is what all people know from school! The conductor did not understand anything, looked at me and even tried to prompt. It was very strange for a long time, but then, telling this situation to colleagues, I realized that I did not have one problem with Tatyana’s letter.

And when the artist may not go on stage? He does an inspection and says whether it is worth going on stage or better to take care. The voice - our tool that we earn on our own, treats it with negligently. If you are actually sick, you do not need to go on stage, at least out of respect for the audience. In general, everything that I did not have time to do in those days when I had rehearsals.

For me, the main condition is a long sleep, no alcohol on the eve and good nutrition. I have been visiting a kinesiologist before the speeches lately. This is such a doctor who tunes the body in a working manner, checks if there is a tone in the muscles and so on. Before the performance, I do not really like to communicate with someone. Sometimes my friend comes to my dressing room - our wonderful accompanist Anastasia Kosinskaya.

She knows how to set up and support or repeat something before the performance. We then lived on Mira Avenue and went for a walk with the child. It was either a day off, or something else, but a lot of elegant people on the street, and I am almost in home clothes, in one hand a child, in the other - a dog. I really like to consider people, especially if they are somehow unusual or brightly dressed.
