Ivan Efimovich resigned from the army in the year. The craving for creativity, the desire to tell about what he saw and experienced in the war forced him to change the profession. He entered the Voronezh State University at the Faculty of Philology. He lived in Berezov, worked at the Berezovsky agricultural technical school of the Ramonsky district as a teacher of literature and initial military training.
The front-line soldier knew how to live and enjoy life, like no one, for he really recognized the price of life, looking into the eyes of death.
