Natalia Zaykova Biography
It was another chance. Someone on the wall in the social. Moreover, the casting was among Russian performers in Moscow, which immediately raised a lot of questions. This announcement was deleted a few hours later. I remembered the introductory and decided to come for the sake of curiosity. There was nothing to count on, because I was from St. Petersburg, which complicated my participation in this project, even if they choose me.
Maestro Javier, whom I knew from his productions and master classes, began to show the material. These were simple fractional combinations that he asked to make first without hands, and then with his hands. At this time, he walked and stared at every dancer. It seemed like that he looked not at the technique, but was looking for some internal qualities of the artist. As if he had already had in his head, portraits of those women who should have found him and simply scanned each of us.
I watched him watched. Everything was quick enough. After several such peers, the maestro approached his four “chosen ones” alternately and immediately voiced them the names of their heroines. Among them, I turned out to be to my surprise. I began to babble something about the second composition and that I could not rehearse for a long time in Moscow. But he cut off: "-You Bernard." Then the process began, rehearsals, experiences, acquaintance with his Spanish musicians and dancer.
As a result, it turned out to be a mixed troupe from the Spaniards and Russians, which of course gave a tremendous experience. Later I learned that Javier had already staged this performance in his youth, where Bernard was played by his first wife - the dancer Nuria Leiva, whom I managed to meet accidentally in Cordoba, just on the eve of this casting. Much later, Javier will put the same performance in Israel in Tel Aviv and the dancer, playing Bernard will become his third wife ...
It is pointless to tell about the performance, because every work must be seen. A lot of participation in this project, vast experience and communication with colleagues gave me a lot. The performance was shown only a few times and the connection was interrupted on this.
Three years later, in, suddenly a message came from Maestro Havier with a proposal to call. Of course, everything turned upside down in me, and I thought it was some kind of draw. Javier chose several Dancers Flamenco from different countries and, together with very famous Spanish artists, such as Chicuelo, Londro, Jose Maldonado, Gabriel Matias, Felipe Peirano, Karen Lugo, etc. Say that it was unforgettable - nothing to say.
This is one of those memories that remain in the heart forever, like a wedding or birth of a child. Everything is no coincidence and everything is not just. My gratitude to Havier has no boundaries, everything that was - it was forever. On the last day, the video clip is being shooting with the participation of all students. This series of classes is called Repertorio: Repertorio 1.
